I am seeking a Back End Dev for the Customer Engagement team at my Fortune 100 Retail/eComm client. This person will support customer data and the systems that manage it (API’s & Websites). This team is building new APIs to provide consolidated view of customer data which currently spans multiple systems with an eye towards modeling common workflows and integrations and making them intuitive and straightforward to implement.

Consultants will work with engineering, product, and QA team members to build observable, scalable, collectively-owned systems using agile principles. Collaborate with groups across enterprise to understand their needs and how we can map them to the product they’re building. Goal is to design new elegant API’s to provide intuitive view of customer, enabling rich customer experience. <20% of time is paired programming or code reviews. All code goes though review.

MUST HAVES:

• Java Microservices development experience


• Event-driven architecture experience


• Modern API Design & development (Rest, Hypermedia, JSON – API, Swagger, GraphQL)


• Event Streaming (Kafka or RabbitMQ)

NICE TO HAVES:

• Security – 0Auth, Zero Trust Architecture


• API test automation


• Relational databases (oracle, postgres)


• Cassandra


• CI/CD Tooling – Gradle, Jenkins, Artifactory
